Goodbye 2009....Hello Beautiful

2009 was one hell of a year that was full of more ups and downs then one can ever imagine. But through out it all i remained strong and more importantly i never stopped looking good. And that my friend is the beauty of fashion. You see in the midst of whatever your troubles are nothing is better than a great outfit or good sale to lift your spirits. At least that is the case for me! For instance in the beginning of the year when my car was out of commission for what seemed like forever i was totally okay with walking as long as i had on my Louboutins or Jimmy Choo's. Jimmy and Christian (thats what i call my shoes) helped remind that just because my car was broke down didn't mean i should walk around in broke down shoes. Those two can be really deep sometimes.  I can also recall a time when i was going through my relationship troubles and wanted to rip the head off of every living and breathing man. Some how on one fine day the combination of my vintage Dolce blouse and Louie bag manage to talk me off the ledge and bring me back to life. I guess they were the only two guys whose faces i didnt want to claw to pieces with my bare hands.  And just when i thought things were getting better and i no longer had thoughts of first degree murder...BOOM!...I hit my rock bottom (by rock bottom i really mean i missed two episodes in a row of OPRAH) and i just knew the whole world was against me. But right at my weakest moment it was there in Niemans that I spotted a pair of black patent leather Chanel flats on SALE. "HALLELUJAH"  was all that i could say and it was at that moment i knew i had a real purpose on this earth. Its kind of like it is meant for me to be on this planet and be unecessarily fabulous at every single moment no matter what. It's basically a message from God himself telling me to continue to over spend and not to waste not one second of this beauty in anything less than fabulousness. The moral of this story is that if you are feeling down and out in 2010 im 100% certain that if you put on your most glam-tastic outfit and drool over the sight of Balenciaga Spring 2010 ready to wear colletion it will help you through any problem no matter how big or small. Trust me. Its practically therapy (at least to me)!

My day was everything but fashionable....Nonetheless still amusing

i spent the day today being restless and just hanging out with my self and my thoughts for a change. And i also had the opportunity to watch a lot of tv. It began with the classics from the 90's such as Married with Children, The Nanny, The Cosby's and etc. And i was so entertained and so amused with each and every character, the story line and the overall effort that went into the tv shows of that day. I think of the mold that The Cosby's broke for african americans by showing people of color in different light or shows like Married with Children that showed the unconventional american family in which the mother was not always slaving and the children were perfect. Tv was great and i really enjoyed my day but then i was thrown back into the foolishness of 2009 and stumbled across The Bad Girls Club...OMG! It was like watching the car crash that would just never end. I mean it was one wreck after another. But than i began to think that this is no different then anything else that is on television. To be a star requires no talent only ignorance. And ignorance is the entertainment of today. You no longer need to how to sing, dance or act. You just need a sex tape and a prior DWI arrest on your portfolio to break into hollywood. But at the end of the day this is just my opinion which is some things and people have lived way beyond there fifteen minutes of fame. This bothers me because its not like in the mist of all this foolishness someone shouts out a disclaimer. They should at the very least say the following before the show start....(imagine the man who speaks really fast when the side effects are listed on commercials.)

Although Peggy Bundy is my favorite fearless TV vixen. All these women in my opinion were all trendsetters in there own right as well. They all loved to be fierce, fabulous and lovable all at once. While fulfilling whatever duties where ahead of them they managed to look AMAZING while doing so with there own distinctive swag. So Nanny Fran, Miss Piggy, Whitley, Grandma Yetta, Claire and Sandra/Lisa i tilt my hat to you ladies.....

If beauty was a person she would be so annoying! Beauty is like a teacher that only tells half the story. She tells you that being her (and by her i mean beauty) that all the guy love her. But what she fails to mention is that they only love to lust her. She tells you that simply by just being her she can get whatever she wants. but she fails to mention that she can get everything but real, soul shattering love. She tells you that people love to look and stare at her when she walks down the street. But she fails to mention that they only look at her and not whats inside of her. She tells you that all girls long to be just like her and look up to her. But she fails to mention that they go through extreme measures to be like her and are left empty and unfulfilled. She tells you everyone loves to look at her pictures. But she fail to mention that no one bothers to read or listen to what she has to say. She says that she is famous. But she fails to mention she has no real talent. She says that she loves her life and wouldnt change it for the world. But she fails to mention that beauty fades and she has no substance to fall back on. So i would like to NOT fail to mention to YOU that while beauty is great thing and an amazing blessing. That in the ingriedents of life beauty is only a pinch of the reciepe. To rely purely on your beauty is to try to make a cake with only icing. So in case you dont know the ingriedents of your life should be: 1cup of love, 1cup of respect, 1pint of Intellegence, 2 cups of morals and just a pinch of beauty.
